What is an HM2 provider?

In the HealthMed2 Wellness Program, providers are healthcare professionals which offer weight-loss assistance to their patients (referred to as users in HM2).  Providers extend valuable services to their patients to increase their long-term weight loss success.  In summary, providers are individuals or organizations which meet the following criteria:

• Providers are healthcare professionals (individuals and organizations) which have been licensed by HM2 to offer the HealthMed2 Wellness Program to their patients.  Providers use HM2 as a tool to enhance their weight-loss services.
• Providers authorize their patients to register in HM2.  (Patients cannot register in HM2 without authorization from their medical provider.)
• Only providers conduct e-commerce with HM2.  (Patients pay providers who in turn pay HM2.)
• Providers show their patients how to use HM2 features and reports.
• Providers use special HM2 reports to evaluate summary data for their patients.  Providers may also refer to individual patient reports for greater detail.
• Providers may offer group classes to their patients.
• Providers may offer follow-up office visits with their patients.
• Providers may also offer additional services to their patients.
